about chef sabra gonzalez

It has always been a dream of Sabra's to cook for a living. She enjoys planning meals and events, choosing and preparing the finest ingredients, and presenting delicious food for everyone’s enjoyment.

Sabra's love for all things culinary started before she could even talk. Her mother opened the doors of the kitchen cabinets and allowed her to crawl inside to bang together the pots and pans while Mom prepared the family’s meals. Spatulas, whisks, and plastic storage bowls were Sabra's favorite toys. She grew up helping her mother and her grandmothers prepare home cooked meals with fresh produce from their bountiful gardens.

With this solid foundation of family food, Sabra graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. Her studies introduced Sabra to a wide variety of culinary environments—everything from Mid-Atlantic beach-front restaurants, to Southern ancestral homes, and to some of the East’s most prestigious private dining clubs.

Sabra is a member of the American Personal and Private Chef Association in partnership with the American Culinary Federation. She also has achieved Manager Certification with ServSafe. ServSafe leads the way in providing the restaurant and foodservice industry with an up-to-date, comprehensive food safety training and certification program.
Sabra and her family lives lives outside of Atlanta. Sabra and her husband have been married for 4 years and have a new son. In their free time they enjoy whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, and camping.
